Throughout March, we shall be going into 14 local primary schools with an individual hands on science activity and this year we shall “Feel the Force”.
Each child will have a tray of experiments and during the session we shall ensure they understand :
- the four fundamental universal forces
- what defines a force?
- what can forces do?
- how forces relate to the energy
- how energy is conserved
- Newton’s Laws of Motion
all via practical hands-on examples. So we shall “feel the force”, make things move, and hunt where the energy has gone!
School events are not open to the general public, but some of the schools invite parents and relatives in to see a session and the work being done on science in the school. Your school will advise.
